New Energy Capabilities: Sealing Hydrogen

November 2, 2023 11:00am – 12:00pm ADT

Sealing hydrogen poses unique challenges due to its properties as the lightest and smallest molecule. Hydrogen is highly permeable and effectively containing it requires consideration for specialized materials and engineered solutions. This webinar will discuss the permeability and leakage of hydrogen molecules through many materials, the material compatibility requirements, pressure management, and temperature effects on sealing solutions.

FoCCUSing on the Future: Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage

October 19, 2023 1:00pm – 2:00pm ADT

CO2 Capture, Utilization, and Sequestration (CCUS) is a collection of technologies that could play an essential role in meeting our growing energy demands and increasingly urgent climate goals. CO2 is captured and either used as feedstock for carbon technologies or is compressed and transported to be permanently sequestered. CCUS supports net-zero pathways through several mechanisms including reducing emissions from existing infrastructure, assisting low-carbon hydrogen production, and removing carbon from the atmosphere.
